On Friday 24 June, the Baobab Group organised a session of discussions between the mentors and mentees of the WIA54 programme as part of its partnership with the international platform Women in Africa.
The event was held at the group’s premises in Dakar, and was attended by Ms Seynabou Thiam, Senior Program Manager of Women in Africa.
This gathering was an opportunity for the participants to discuss the interest of the mentoring programme and to address the theme of female entrepreneurship by highlighting the daily challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in Africa.
Coming from different educational backgrounds and business sectors, these women have nevertheless identified several similarities in their professional goals. Highly committed and determined, they wish to contribute to the development of women entrepreneurship in Africa, while maintaining a good work-life balance.
